UniGuard 12 ONLINE has been a great platform to introduce new products into. Due to its flexible engine we have seen innovative solutions for security and management being suggested and implemented quite rapidly.

Long Range RFID is perfect for large open areas, the reading range for these units is from 10 to 50 metres

One such innovation is something which the market has had a demand for quite some time. A no-touch system which can be picked up from a long range and provide continuous monitoring of staff whilst they carry on with their work. Currently the cleaning industry has had the highest demand for these units but we are getting increased interest from security ran sites now.

The UniGuard Long Range RFID Logger can read simple 2.4G active RFID tags which require no wiring or expensive equipment. Other similar solutions currently out in the market rely on expensive active RFID tags which can cost up to AU$300 per tag, then require the assistance of professional electrical engineers to install. We can achieve the same with not only a much smaller price tag attached for every tag, but also all which is required is two screws into a ceiling or wall. No wiring required.

The active tags come with a high power lithium battery inside. They have an operational battery life of about three years or even longer. Just click the small button on the tag to activate it and replace the battery a few years down the track.

The units also come with an impressive storage capacity of over 50,000 patrol records! You can read more about the product specifications here.

These fantastic units are the result from all the feedback we have received over the years. Staff on site can now instantly send a confirmation that a checkpoint has been reached and secured by simply activating a tag on site. UniGuard 12 ONLINE can then instantly retrieve the information and display it on your reports.

The loggers can be programmed to either push data through on every checkpoint, or at time intervals. Devices come with two soft-contact pads which act as rugged and durable buttons to send signals to head office. The button on the left will forcibly push through any patrol records which are outstanding to the server, whilst the button on the right is a duress alarm which can either be monitored using UniGuard 12 or custom integrated into your alarm monitoring system.

As with all UniGuard units, these guard tour loggers are tough and rugged. Encased in a robust plastic mould (it is necessary to use plastic, as metal can interfere with the very important GPRS signals that need to reliably go out) the units can withstand some punishment and are sealed inside, making most of its interior components watertight, with the exception of the SIM card which slots in through the back.
