Stand-Alone Installation

You should have received two discs with your UniGuard 11 Network software (Or given access to download two .zip files off the Downloads page on this website). To make matters more understandable please note the labels on both discs (or .zip files). One should be the 'Client' and the other should be the 'Server'.

One thing to keep in mind is that the nxServerAdmin software must be installed prior to your UniGuard 11 Client software. Hence the 'Sever' disc or file should be installed first. For initial software installation follow the Stand-Alone Installation tutorial for the simple steps to unpack the software on your server machine.

Three things should happen after installation. You will notice an nxServer Admin Utility icon on your desktop as illustrated to the right.

 

 

Also, the nxServer Admin Utility software would have been installed on your computer by now.

Lastly, the nxServer Admin Utility should hide itself on your system tray so it can continue running silently.

 

 

 

The primary goal of the nxServerAdmin utility, is to provide administrators with an easy to use mechanism to install and control the nxServer database server as a Windows NT service.
